Good morning/afternoon/evening! Welcome to my homepage!
I am CAO Zheming æ›¹å“²é“ (pronounced : Tsao Jer-ming), a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Hong Kong, advised by Prof. Eric Fong, Prof. Guy Abel, and Prof. Satoshi Araki.Â
Before beginning my Ph.D., I earned a B.B.A. in Finance from HKU Business School and graduated with First Class Honours in July 2025.
My research focuses primarily on migration and integration. I am also interested in wealth inequality, the sociology of education and occupations. I am currently working on migrant domestic workers and outbound migration from Hong Kong. My research mainly adopts quantitative methods, and I am also very interested in qualitative and ethnographic approaches.
I was born and raised in Shenyang and now live in Shenzhen with my partner Litao. We used to live in Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
